Satori Africa, in conjunction with Semunyeni Overland Tours, is a hosting an overlanding tour with a difference! Offering you Botswana‘s exclusive experiences and destinations at the best value, join us as we introduce you to the annual Magnificent Zebra Migration.

What you need to know about the migration?

Botswana’s zebra migration is an almost unknown, wild spectacle that occurs annually in this southern African country. It’s the longest single migration of animals that has ever been recorded, and it’s an incredible sight to see first hand, as thousands of zebra kick up plumes of dust as they move from one grazing area to another. Allow us along with Semunyeni Overland to guide you as we follow these great herds from Makgadigadi National Park up to Mababe and Savuti. A great phenomenon that happens close to home. It’s unexplored. Adventurous. Unspoken of.

Every year, after the first decent rains have fallen in the central areas of the Nxai and Makgadikgadi National Parks, thousands, really, thousands of zebras embark on a migration of about 500 km round trip in search of greener pastures and better grazing. This migration of Zebras is the longest migration in Africa, even surpassing the annual migration of Zebra and Wildebeest in the Serengeti and Masai Mara Game Reserves and yet, it’s not well known or explored. Why not be one of the first few to experience this as it happens?!
